Sept 25: The steel moment frames are installed to provide added rigidity to the overall structure of the house, and protection for the Big One; we do live on the Ring of Fire after all. The engineer originally wanted 3 separate frames, but has parred it down to one large frame on the ocean side spanning both levels (dinning room and our bedroom) and a smaller frame in the garage. The crane is back, as is the steel frame installation specialists. Trevor has company.
