March 18: The fireplace for the great room has been delivered and set in place. It is the main feature of the great room, and due to its size and weight, required major reinforcement of the hearth. It is a 62" linear gas fireplace with stone media. It can heat the entire great room, and most likely our bedroom above as well. After sooo many years in the desert,living with constant A/C, I am looking forward to cool nights, with the windows open, curled up beside the fire. A girl can dream........
