April 28: The paint has dried and the bling starts to go into our house. This is the exciting part!! All the lovely fixtures and cabinets I selected months ago are showing up and beginning to be installed. This is also where I worry (panic) about those choices and how they will all look together in our home. Here we go!
The cabinets are the first 'finishings' that are installed. There are lots of cabinets, and they fill the dining room, mudroom, etc. waiting to be sorted, measured and set into place. Geoff Hobson's crew are efficient and precise. I am told this process can take weeks, and my patience needs to match their attention to detail and careful pace.
