June 3: Originally we planned to stack two storage closets between the first and second floor of the house so we could install an elevator later in life if we needed it. BUT our contractor found a small cab elevator that Federal Elevator was offering on sale prior to price change due to the dropping Canadian dollar. Sooo we took the plunge. Rationalization: it will be great way to move 'stuff' from the lower to the upper floor - but we are dedicated stair users until we can't.
Cool, the elevator parts and the guys to put it together arrived today. They told me it will take 5 - 7 days to install the whole thing. More pics to come.
The parts arrive and are muscled into the house.
